B. Michael Korte Receives Workers' Compensation Distinguished Lawyer Award -- Elite designation signifies lifelong dedication to workers’ compensation law.   B. Michael Korte of The Korte Law Firm will receive the Workers’ Compensation Distinguished Lawyer Award at the Seventh Annual Workers’ Compensation Distinguished Lawyer Award Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis on Oct. 6.   he award, which is jointly presented by The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BASML) and Kids’ Chance Inc. of Missouri, publicly recognizes workers’ compensation attorneys whose honesty, integrity, competence, zeal, selflessness and leadership have earned the respect of the community and their peers. Award recipients are recognized as the ultimate exemplars of professionalism and integrity.  Korte is the seventh recipient of the award. “I am grateful to receive this honor,” said Korte. “I consider this award the crowning achievement of my career.

July, 2009:
B. Michael Korte has accepted an appointment from the Kirkwood (MO) City Council to serve on its Civilian Pension Board for a term to June, 2012. 

In addition, he has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of Bridgeway Behavioral Health, which provides treatment for those suffering from addictive disorders, and for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
