Korte Lectures to MO Ass'n of Tax Practitioners

November 11, 2011 - Mike was a presenter at the 58th annual Fall Tax Conference of the Missouri Association of Tax Practitioners. Mike spoke on "Workers' Compensation: What is it? Who Gets It? Who Pays?", proividing insights to conference attendees on representing emmployers faced with work comp claims.

The most recent court decision to turn Missouri workers' comp upside down, as discussed in the KorteLaw blog here, caught the eye of Missouri Lawyers Weekly, a leading statewide legal newspaper, who interviewed Mike Korte about the impact of the decision on the practice of law.

"Still, said Mike Korte, a workers' compensation lawyer in St. Louis, attorneys will have to proceed cautiously and really think about what would be the best for their clients. He said cases would have to be weighed very carefully."...'If this decision holds up, it's going to change our practice, potentially dramatically, at least for some period of time,' Korte said."

Korte lectures to MATA - MO Trial Attorneys

June, 2011 - Mike co-presented the Annual Update of Workers' Compensation Law with Sally Heller to the annual conference of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, at the Lodge of the Four Season, at the Lake of the Ozarks, in Lake Ozark, MO. Mike completed the third and final lecture in a series of "annual update" lectures for 2011, having also spoken to the MO Division of Workers' Compensation and the Missouri Bar.
