You May Be A Federal Defendant If . . . you set up a website to harass your wife .

According to STLToday.com, a Florida man who tried to get back at his estranged wife by publicizing her nude pictures and sexual videos was sentenced in federal court in St. Louis to eight years in prison.

The husband set up a website with the pictures and videos, then sent about 150 postcards with the site's address and other insulting information to friends, relatives, neighbors, his wife's boss and strangers, like the pharmacy she frequented.

He also stalked and harassed his wife before and after the divorce became final and demanded $100,000, her wedding and engagement rings and furniture he claimed she stole from a storage unit, in exchange for shutting down the site.

The U.S. District Judge went over and above the federal sentencing guidelines, saying that the husband's denials and excuses  "entirely not credible" and that his actions were "stupid, vile, ignorant criminal things."

Among the excuses offered for his behavior was that he had consulted a lawyer about the website's content.

So, here's a tip, free of charge, from The Korte Law Firm, LLC: Do NOT consult the Korte Law Firm, LLC, for advice on what content can and cannot go on a website set up to harass your wife. Or husband.
